27 Weeks!

Last night, Matt, Emilie and I had our first of hopefully many weekly non-birthday celebrations. I made it to 27 weeks! One week ago this milestone was a lot more tentative, but today, having made it one week (and a day now) and following another *scheduled* (this is good) doctor's appointment, I have lots of optimism.

We met with a perinatologist in San Francisco today and got checked out again. Dr. Field said that everything looks good for me and that I'm "doing great". I now feel like I kind of have my pregnancy a little more under control and have a better idea of when things are heading south. Of course I still get to spend all day lying down, but I think I can definitely make it to 31,,,,34,,,,maybe even 36 or 37 weeks! Granted I will look like a Beached Whale by the end of it all, but I also will get two healthy kids out of the whole deal.
